Howell Township Municipal Court is Located at the Police Department on 300 Old Tavern Road (Please note that it is NOT located in the Township Municipal Building on Route 9)
Howell Township Municipal Court is the Township’s Center for Justice for all people. We are dedicated to serving the general public and our diverse community with respect, courtesy and sensitivity. We recognize that we are an independent branch of government, constitutionally entrusted with the fair and just resolution of disputes in order to preserve the rule of law and to protect the rights and liberties guaranteed by the Constitution and laws of the United States and this State.
The Municipal Court is responsible for the proper disposition of all municipal traffic violations within the Township of Howell. The Court also hears building code violations and minor criminal complaints. Court sessions are held every Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. for first appearances, and every Friday at 9:00 a.m.
If you are mailing payments or fines for violations listed on the violations schedule as being payable through the Violations Bureau without a required court appearance, please make your check or money order payable to the "Howell Township Municipal Court" and mail it to the court address listed on the right along with the summons or other notice or you may pay online at New Jersey Courts online payment page.
