Meetings

Starting August 24th 2023, both the Farmer’s Advisory Committee and the Farmland Preservation Task Force will be meeting on the same date.  The Farmland Preservation Task Force will meet in Conference Room B, 2nd Floor, Municipal Building (4567 Route 9 North, Howell, NJ) at 6:30 PM.  The Farmer’s Advisory Committee will meet immediately following the Preservation Task Force in the same location.   These meetings will continue to be held on the 4th Thursday every month thereafter.  The July meetings will remain on their previously scheduled dates and times.  Thank you.

The committee membership must consist of the following:
  • Seven members and two alternates
  • Four members with three year terms
  • Three members with two year terms
  • Alternate one serves a two year term
  • Alternate two serves a three year term

Purpose


This committee is active in a vocational or avocational farm use activity. The committee has an inventory of existing farm uses and provides an assessment of measures to aid the farming community. The committee shall provide recommendations to the Township Council and other public authorities as to the impact of development and planning changes on the farming community.
