Good Morning Residents,
The Department of Public Work crews have been out all night working tirelessly to keep our roads open and will continue to plow and treat roads all day and night. They are working as quickly as possible to assure the safety and clearance of all township roads. Snow removal is an arduous and time consuming job and we ask all our residents for your patience, cooperation, and understanding during the cleanup.
Please remember as you begin your cleanup take extra precautions to prevent frostbite and over exhaustion. Do not put snow back into the street either by means of shoveling, plowing or snow blowing. This creates a public hazard and is against township ordinance.
In a storm with the accumulation and high winds like this one, roadways will need to be plowed several times. It takes, on the average, 16 hours for the Public Works department to plow Township roads after the snow has ended.
