Dear Residents,
It’s hard to believe how quickly summer comes and goes, but we hope you had a great summer. Howell Township experienced another active summer with plenty of summer events taking place. From Howell Day, National Night Out to Summer Camp and Movies in the parks we would like to thank our Community Relations Department staff and counselors for continuing to provide fun and safe programs for our community.
At Summer’s end it is inevitable, kids go back to School. We want to take this opportunity to remind all our residents and drivers to be aware of kids at bus stops and be alert to stopped school buses. As we move into the fall season, daylight will become shorter making it difficult to see kids as they wait for the bus or walk to school. Extra precaution and driving slower during school hours will help ensure our children are safe.
It’s always a priority of this administration and Police Department to keep our children safe. To that end Howell Police will ensure our drivers obey traffic regulations around school zones. Please drive safely and pay extra attention during school hours. Thank you for your cooperation and we hope you enjoy that last hours of summer.
Sincerely;
William Gotto, Mayor
Rob Nicastro, Deputy Mayor
Edward Guz, Councilman
Pauline Smith, Councilwoman
Robert Walsh, Councilman
