Weather forecasters are predicting a Nor’easter will affect this area Monday night (12/8/14) through Wednesday (12/10/14). The anticipated heavy rains may cause flooding in poor drainage areas and areas close to streams and rivers, particularly during times of high tide. Please note that tides are also being impacted by the recent full moon.
Upcoming high tides are as follows (times approximate):
• Monday Night: 9:15pm
• Tuesday: 9:30am and 10pm
• Wednesday: 10:15am and 10:45pm
DO NOT drive your vehicle through flood waters. Water maybe deeper than you think. You will be putting yourself in danger and your vehicle may be damaged, leading to costly repairs.
The township may close some roads due to flooding. Please do not move barricades from roadways or drive on flooded streets.
