Dear Fellow Residents:
As we all prepare for our Fourth of July celebrations, let’s stop for a moment to be thankful for the blessings that we have by living in this great nation and beautiful Howell Township.
We want to wish you a happy and safe holiday. This day marks our founding fathers adoption of the Declaration of Independence granting us and future generations our unalienable rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
Also, we would like to remind you to use good judgment this holiday weekend. This time of year, too many people are injured or killed because of careless behavior on the roads and with fireworks use. Remember, our Police Department will be diligently watching for violations of drunken driving and illegal use of fireworks.
Please keep fire safety in mind when planning your family barbecue. While outdoor grilling is a holiday tradition for many of us, it also accounts for thousands of fires and injuries each year.
Let’s celebrate a safe and happy Fourth of July!
Warm wishes,
William Gotto, Mayor
Rob Nicastro, Deputy Mayor
Ed Guz, Councilman
Pauline Smith, Councilwoman
Robert Walsh, Councilman
