Howell Township is aggressively in the process of surveying all roads, unsafe structures, and critical infrastructure. We are a large community and it will require an extended period of time to complete our initial assessment. During the next hours and days, we will be asking our residents for their assistance in an organized manner, but for now we continue to ask for your help in two areas:
1. Please keep road travel to a minimum. There are many interior areas where trees and power lines are making roadways impassable, and the pending darkness increases the risk while driving. Do not pass through any roadlocks or barriers due to unsafe conditions.
2. Our emergency operations center phone number is once again in service. All non-emergency issues should be called into 732-414-3239.
It is the intention of the Township to continue to send periodic information after the storm. However, without electric power and limited internet you may only have cell service. Please visit our website to sign up to receive texts.
Thank you for your cooperation,
