We thank the over 150 citizen volunteers and PAL volunteers for their service today in assisting our community in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. We are again going out tomorrow for welfare check visits in those areas that may not be getting our messages due to a lack of communications.
We are also resuming our volunteer crews for brush cleanup. Today alone, the volunteers picked up twenty five tons of debris. We are especially in need of those volunteers with chainsaws and trucks to bring debris to our recycling center.
Anyone wishing to assist should report to the Howell Township municipal building, 4567 Rt. 9 N, at 10am in the main meeting room.
For those residents that are unable to volunteer, you can assist us by bringing whatever brush and leaves you can to the recycling center.
This shows what can be accomplished when a community comes together.
